Daniel has been an attorney at Murphy & Hourihane since March 2017. Before joining the firm, he clerked for the Honorable Kathleen Pantle in the Chancery Division of Cook County Circuit Court, where he drafted opinions and orders covering all stages of many commercial cases. Daniel attended law school at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign where he competed in Moot Court and served as Editor in Chief of the Illinois Business Law Journal. While in law school, Daniel did clerkships with the U.S. Department of Justice, the Securities Exchange Commission in Washington, D.C., and the Antitrust Bureau of the Illinois Attorney General’s office. Prior to attending law school, he received his BA in Political Science from the University of Illinois, an MBA from Loyola University of Chicago and worked in various positions in securities, management consulting and accounting. He lives in the South Loop community of Chicago with his wife.
